Grimes

Claire Elise Boucher is a Canadian singer-songwriter and musician. The early work of her has been described as going into "lo-fi R&B" to futuristic dance-pop,[4] and has incorporated influences from electronic music hip hop, as well as rock. She often uses science fiction and feminist themes within the lyrics. She's recorded five albums. Growing up in Vancouver (later moving in Montreal), Grimes began independently releasing music at the end of the 2000s, releasing two albums, Geidi Primes and Halfaxa from 2010 through Arbutus Records. The following year, she joined 4AD and became a household name with the release of their third studio album Visions that was released in 2012. Visions is comprised of the singles "Genesis," and "Oblivion". Also, it was winner of the Juno Award of the Canadian Music Industry for Electronic Album of the Years. In the years following, she released her fourth studio album Art Angels, was released in 2015 and received critical praise as several publications called it the top album of 2015. In 2020, she debuted Miss Anthropocene (her fifth studio album). Grimes, who is also an actor and judge on Alter Ego's music contests, played a part as the vocalist as part of Cyberpunk 2077 which was released 2020. Grimes Grimes Grimes
