Mitchell's close friend Angela aged 15 years old when she died in a fatal accident in an automobile, also wrote about this incident. This was extremely difficult for Mitchell and the track Angel from her album debut was written to honor Angela. Her novel Chicken Soup of the Preteen Soul along with The 7th Heaven episode, Nothing Endures But Change also mentions the incident.
