Ashley Madekwe and Ashley Leggat
Madekwe is a British-Nigerian mixed race child, was born to the family of South London. Her father is a Nigerian-Swiss, as is her mom who's English. She was born and lived in a housing estate run by the council in the south of London. When she was 14she enrolled in The Brit School. She earned her BA in acting from The Royal Academy of Dramatic Art. During her time at the school, she was a part-time actor in numerous performances on stage, such as King Henry V playing Princess Katherine as well as Wuthering Heights portraying Catherine Earnshaw.
Madekwe's acting career started in the series Storm Damage. Since then, Madekwe has appeared in Teachers and Doctors. Madekwe's first film of debut was that of the Woody Allen 2007 film Cassandra's Dream. She starred with Colin Farrell & Ewan MacGregor. In the wake of that film's success her role was Elisha in the single-episode BBC Three drama pilot West 10 LDN as well as appearing in the six episodes of Trexx as well as Flipside playing Ollie. In 2008, she was cast as Bambi as the main character on ITV2's show Secret Diary of a Call Girl. Madekwe starred as the lead character in How to Lose Friends And Alienate Others, a comedic comedy released in 2008. Her theatre credits are Little Sweet Thing by Roy Williams as well as Flight Path by David Watson.
Madekwe was cast as Ashley Davenport for the ABC show The Beautiful Life. The two-episode drama aired just 2 weeks at The CW and then it ended. Ashley Davenport was her role in ABC's drama Revenge. The departure of Madekwe from the show was announced in May 2013. After two years as the main character she made a guest performance in the very first episode of season 3. Between 2014 and 2016, Madekwe was a star in the role of Tituba the television series Salem. Madekwe and her partner of many years, Iddo Goldenberg, were married in June 2012. They worked together on Secret Diary of a Call Girl. Goldberg also appeared with Madekwe in Salem.
Ashley Leggat, an actress that was nominated two times for a Gemini Award, hails from the large Hamilton family. The four brothers she had were present as well: twins Todd & Bram, Brett & Rob. Ashley was raised in the arenas and baseball parks because her four athletic brothers all played hockey and baseball and both in the summer and winter. Ashley did not have the ability to walk, but she danced. At the age of two, she started Baby Ballet and fell in the love. Ashley became a dancer immediately. Ashley competed in tap, jazz and ballet in the high divisions. She was crowned the top soloist at each of the most prestigious dance competitions like, International Dance Challenge, Showstoppers 5-7-8 Showtime, Flash Dance, and Dance, Dance, Dance just to mention a few.
